Business/Requirements Analyst

USmax Corporation is seeking an innovative, self-starting individual willing to roll up their sleeves in a highly dynamic, cross-functional and complex data-center environment. The Business/Requirements Analyst will support our customer by implementing and maintaining a Cybersecurity Compliance and Measures (CCM) program. Reporting to the CCM Project Manager, the selected candidate will analyze the business environment, structure, and strategy to develop functional requirements for projects relating to enterprise and system-level cyber security tasks, business re-engineering, process development, metrics development, communications planning, and management-related issues.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in performing the described responsibilities within the IT setting.  Must possess an understanding of process development principles.  
  • Able to create process flow diagrams and succinct use cases based upon information collected from stakeholders. · 
  • Able to drive the definition of process guidelines based upon stakeholder requirements and process goals. · 
  • Must be self-motivated, proactive, positive, and enjoy the challenges of planning and solving problems in a complex and unpredictable work environment. 
  • Must be able to maintain records, meeting notes, and process materials for several concurrent process development assignments.   · 
  • Ability to establish a solid working relationship with Service Delivery Managers, IT Technical Subject Matter Experts, and technical staff.  · 
  • Must be proficient in word processing, spreadsheets, and desktop applications. · 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required · 
  • Must have strong work ethic with a focus on quality, results and customer satisfaction. · 
  • Multitasking skills – the duties requirements analysts take on are often managed simultaneously throughout the day, which means they must be able to prioritize tasks ·
  • Tech knowledge – designing diagrams of what the client desires and conveying that information to the people who will construct the software demands requirements analysts “speak” the right language and understand what can and cannot be done · 
  • Organization skills – staying on top of things and handling requests and information coming in from various directions is essential to seeing projects through from start to finish · 
  • Analytical skills – the analyst must tackle every problem analytically i.e. first understanding a problem, visualizing it, analyzing it, gathering more information against it and then striving to solve it. This requires an investigative approach, logical thinking, problem handling and interpretation skills. · 
  • Research skills – the analyst must assist in determining the cascading effects of changes, portray options, suggestions and opinions.

Bachelor's Degree in MIS, Business, English, Computer Science, Information Management. Equivalent work experience within the Information Technology or Information Assurance industry may be considered in lieu of degree.
